Three Simple Steps to Lose Stomach Fat Fast
There is nothing worse than sitting down at the table and feeling your belt stretch a little further or to feel that tug on your shirt as you watch your stomach spill over your waistline. It is the hardest area to lose fat because it is usually the last area for fat to go for most people.
Let’s be honest, it can be the most noticeable and frustrating part of your body. It is easy to get down on yourself and just give up.
But remember…there’s no crying in core exercising!
So wipe away your tears, clean your nose, and buck up whinny pants.
A wise word of caution, there are no easy steps to cut stomach fat, but there are simple actions you can take daily that will help you achieve success. Be paitent! No crying!
We are going to talk about three things you can do today to change all of that and help you lose stomach fat pronto.
1. Cutting out sugar and white flour
One of the hardest things I had to work on was cutting out sugar and flour. They are both insulin spiking and can increase the amount of fat cells in your body. It is amazing when you realize all of the food that you eat out there that is covered in poor sugars (simple sugars) and flour. Again…no crying!
This can be the fastest way to lose stomach fat because nutrition accounts for about 80%-90% of the impact, but also the most challenging. Look for sugar substitutes to help with the sweet tooth like fruit. Even then depending on your body type, you may want to cut out fruit or limit it to a piece of fruit a day.
White flour is harder to cut out because it is so prevalent in many of the items we eat and are served.
Avoid breaded foods and replace flour with substitutes like almond meal. Check labels and makes sure to ask at restaurants if the food is breaded.
Stick to primarily protein and vegetables in your meals to help cut fat faster. Throw in healthy fats such as avocado, olive oil, coconut milk, and healthy nuts like walnuts and macadamia nuts.
2. Limit your food portions
If you are struggling to lose stomach fat fast, then the next step after watching what you, is to limit your caloric intake. Depending on your size put together numerous meals of 200-400 calories throughout the course of the day. Separate every 2-3 hours between these meals. Be careful not to eat too few on protein and vegetables. Usually you want a cupped hand worth of protein and two cupped hands worth of vegetables.
While fruit and nuts may also have healthy nutrients, you may want to still limit to either one serving a day, or no servings at all. Also limit starches like yams and sweet potatoes. Usually the starches are solid to eat after a workout to maintain lean muscle mass.
When you start thinking about eating 5-6 meals a day, that may seem like a lot, but most people would be surprised to see how many calories they put down that have nothing to do with the main course, such as dressings and soft drinks.
By eating multiple meals you get your metabolism picking up and burning fat faster. This is a great way on how to lose stomach fat fast.
3. Core Exercises
Maybe the best way to lose stomach fat is to be proactive in going after the problem headstrong. There are a lot of core exercises that work very well like crunches, leg lifts, and instituting exercise balls.
One of the best ways to save time, but also to hit your core consistently is to do synergistic exercises that cover multiple muscle groups including your core. Yoga is a great example of this. Also other commercial workout programs like P90X, Insanity, and CrossFit. Look for exercises that get your whole body shaking!
Everything is built around the core. If you take care of it then it will impact so many other aspects of your work outs and daily life.
