What the… Where Am I?
Get Healthy Your Way and Actually Like It
Ahhhh! What is the best way to lose weight? Gain muscle? Fight or prevent diseases?
Let me repeat: Ahhhh! (Fist shaking toward sky)
Does that sound like you? Chances are you and I have spent more time sweating trying to figure that answer out, then actually making progress working out.
Countless infomercials, diet pills, crash diets, and daunting workout videos…it leaves most of us feeling discouraged, confused, betrayed, and trying to be something we are not.
It blows.
Come on…it does. I know. We know.
Know My Body can help solve it pretty easily. Getting healthy isn’t anything magical; in fact you probably already knew the answers.
What makes Know My Body different is that we give you advice to help you to build a framework around nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle that works best for you. That way you can enjoy it, truly understand it, and make it a part of you for the rest of your life.
You might lose weight, but you won’t lose the most important thing: you.
Getting healthy should be an exciting journey you take, not a daily taser to the face because it is controlled by someone else. It is cliché, but true: you get one life and it should be enjoyed your way. That isn’t the “chicken nuggets with a side of heart attack” joy. I mean real happiness. I mean getting in shape and maybe, just maybe laughing a lot along the way because it is a plan that truly was created by and for you. I know that sounds like some fairy tale island, but let me possibly be the first to tell that dry land is not a myth.
The Know My Body Newsletter and site will help you to figure out what plan works best for you.
You should join the rest of the KMB groupies for our cost-free and sugar-free KMB Newsletter as soon as it’s delivered out of the oven by easily submitting your email below and press “Get My Free Info!”.
So what else will I get out of this site:
- Fat loss/muscle gain: Dump the flub and sculpt the work of art that is you
- Better overall health to prevent and help kick diseases to the curb
- Looking dreamy and more importantly overall confidence
- Save time and frustration by getting time-tested fitness and nutrition principles without the hype.
- Personal joy and dare I say a few LOLs
What This Place Is and Isn’t
“I’m still nervous about you. I have seen this movie before. It doesn’t end well. So what is this place like?”
I totally get it. Sometimes I read my own stuff and go “Geez that probably sounds cheesy.” (Sorry if it is.)
Listen…we are not going to make any promises here about the 15 pounds you will lose in 6 minutes of working out, write copy with yellow highlighters and ticking clocks, put stock photos up of hot dudes and chicks covered in oil and money, or tell you to pop a pill fresh off the pharmaceutical cocktail conveyor belt.
This is a group of imperfect, common people with 9-5 jobs that want to share the value of being healthy. We might mix in some smart, witty comedy here or there. Most of mine will be of the stupid comedy variety, so please bear with it.
Our goal is to have you come to our web pages, read a little bit, eat well, exercise, and leave a better person willing to share your knowledge and positivity with others. You are not the only one that wants to get in shape and I am sure you can think of a couple other people that you know that could use your support too.
This also isn’t a place for Tools. You can’t come in here and try to take, yell, punch, and spread your greasiness on our posts. The whole value here is that we want to make your life better so you can go make the lives of your family and friends better. Tools don’t get that. So please proceed to the next website while you chew on your roids.
Who We Are
“Show me your credentials!”
All right smarty pants. Read it and weep.
Cade founded Know My Body in 2010 while working for a start-up tech company that crashed and burned. He then went on to work for another tech company that is doing well. He spends his hours not at work either working on this website or working out. Sometimes he watches a movie and spends time with family and friends.

You get the message?
There are no doctors, physicians, nutritionists, certified personal trainers, yoga gurus, or any other paid health associated educations here. And if there are, that is not why they are involved. Are those things bad? No. Are they necessary? Not at all.
There are many great health professionals that save lives daily, but there are quite a few more that teach disastrous nutrition methods and prescribe pills like a Band-Aid for an amputated arm when the best course of action is a healthy lifestyle. You throw in the pounding of media to promote junk food and we have a global epidemic on our hands.
It’s no coincidence that 1/3rd of the US population is obese. I mean 32% of our cute infants are starting out obese as well. Talk about being behind the 8 ball from day one!
Most of this would be solved by cutting out unhealthy food and getting the right kind of exercise often. That advice sounds generic. So what does unhealthy food and the right kind of exercise mean? This website and our newsletter will talk extensively about it. (See how I just teased you a bit to get you to sign up. Crafty huh?)
Listen…while we are not world renowned doctors, I think we have something that trumps that.
We care.
We are going to be here taking on the same fight as you together. We are going to be dealing with the same daily struggles and unique challenges, but we are going to get past those and move toward our goals together. And yes, just maybe, smile along the way.
So now that you know all the dark and dirty secrets, let’s embrace our growth together. Jump on the KMB train and let’s get started.
Oh and please no Tools. You aren’t tall enough for this ride.
