If carbs are on your list of foods to avoid, don’t overlook fruits and vegetables. Just because they aren’t made up of wheat or grains doesn’t mean they don’t have high carbohydrate content.
Good low carb fruits are berries; raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, and every other kind of berry. Berries are also loaded with nutrients and antioxidants which makes them really good for you. Some other great options are rhubarb, figs, apricot, grapefruit, apples, pears, and peaches.

Foods that might be better to avoid because they contain higher amounts of sugar are melons like cantaloupe and watermelon, mangoes, and pineapple. Although some fruits are higher in carbohydrates, every fruit has a unique nutritional value which will benefit you in different ways and should be enjoyed guilt-free once in a while.
