Why use brown rice protein powder?

For the vegetarians and vegans out there who cannot use animal proteins, brown rice protein powder offers a supplemental source of dietary protein. The outcome is a product that is rich in amino acids including all 8 of the essential amino acids. However, one essential amino acid that brown rice does not supply in required proportion is lysine.  There are ways around this though. Peas are actually a food that is very high in lysine. So, several companies have developed products that are a blend of brown rice protein and pea protein. This gives it a much more complete amino acid profile.

Is brown rice protein a good product for weightlifters and bodybuilders?

Weightlifters and bodybuilders tend to magnetize to the products that work fast and are much higher in protein content! The truth of the matter is that nothing compares to whey when it comes to protein.
